MQ21 (clear)
MQ24 (white)
MQ26 (blue)
MQ27 (black)
MQ29 (green)
very strong and tough; good gas barrier; poor moisture barrier; strong meat adhesion; no shrink; predictable sizing
D-shape and cylindrical logs; best for pre-sliced and diced applications
MQ67 (clear)
MQ68 (blue)
MQ69 (rust)
MQ681 (red)
MQ682 (green)
MQ683 (black)
MQ684 (purple)
MQ685 (yellow)
very strong and tough; gas barrier not as good as MQ21, but better moisture barrier than MQ21; moderate meat adhesion; no shrink; predictable sizing
D-shape and cylindrical logs; best for pre-sliced and diced applications; good for poultry
MQ97 (various colors and prints)
very strong and tough; good gas and moisture barrier; good meat adhesion; controlled shrink; predictable sizing
good general purpose shrink casing; use for any application except D-shape; okay for cook-and-ship, as well as cook-and-strip
MQ84 (blue)
MQ85 (clear)
not as strong as MQ21; poorer gas barrier than MQ21, but better moisture barrier; no meat adhesion; no shrink; tends to stretch so sizing can be tricky; very inexpensive
good for slack-fill applications that do not require a lot of size control; good applications are diced or shredded meat; good amount of purge
MQ841 (blue)
MQ851 (clear)
same as MQ84 and MQ85, except a little softer, making it more prone to stretching, but less prone to pinholing
good for slack-fill applications that do not require a lot of size control; good applications are diced or shredded meat; good amount of purge

Properties

Uses/Applications

MQ21 (clear)

withstands dry temperatures up to 300 degrees F; melts at 423 degrees F; narrow heat-seal window; strong meat adhesion; good gas barrier; poor moisture barrier
good for moderate temperature cooking of beef and park; no limitation on thickness
MQ31 (clear)
withstands dry temperatures up to 375 degrees F; melts at 434 degrees F; broader heat-seal window than MQ21; strong meat adhesion; good gas barrier; poor moisture barrier, but better than MQ21
good for high temperature cooking of various meats
MQ36 (clear)
withstands dry temperatures up to 400 degrees F; melts at 456 degrees F; broader heat-seal window than MQ21; strong-to-moderate meat adhesion, and less than MQ21; good gas barrier; poor moisture barrier, but better than MQ31

good for high temperature cooking of various meats
MQ51 (clear)
withstands temperatures up to 425 degrees F; melts at 496 degrees F; very hard to heat-seal; meat adhesion is lower than MQ36; good gas barrier; poor moisture barrier, but better than MQ36
good for high temperature applications
MQ65
withstands temperatures up to 350 degrees F; melts at 420 degrees F; can be heat sealed like MQ31 or MQ36; material stretches an is very tough; no meat adhesion; very poor gas and moisture barrier; will not hold vacuum packaging for more than one day; opaque material with contact clarity
good for high temperature cooking applications requiring no meat adhesion, toughness, or durability; do not use for vacuum-packaging or fresh meat
MQ66
withstands temperatures up to 350 degrees F; melts at 420 degrees F; can be heat sealed like MQ31 or MQ36; material stretches an is very tough; no meat adhesion; very poor gas and moisture barrier; will not hold vacuum packaging for more than one day; opaque material with contact clarity; low COF; slippery material
good for high temperature cooking applications requiring no meat adhesion, toughness, or durability; do not use for vacuum-packaging or fresh meat; easily slides off of filling horns
MQ100
very strong and tough; good gas and moisture barrier; easy to seal; excellent general purpose material for boiling and freezing applications
good for vacuum packaging with excellent puncture resistance
MQ102
very strong and tough; better gas and moisture barrier than MQ100; easy to seal; low coefficient of friction for auto loading block cheese; excellent general purpose material for boiling and freezing applications
good for vacuum packaging with excellent puncture resistance
MQ103
very strong and tough; better gas and moisture barrier than MQ100; easy to seal; good general purpose material for boiling and freezing applications
good for vacuum packaging
MQ295
a mix between MQ36 and MQ65; withstands 400 degree F temperature; easy to heat seal; lower meat adhesion than MQ36,  but more than MQ65; browns meat better than MQ36;opaque material with contact clarity
good for use with bone-in products (whole/split breasts, whole/half birds, bone-in-hams)
MQ501-XX
shrinks (The first x stands for machine direction shrink; the second x stands for transverse direction shrink; withstands temperatures up to 400 degrees F; good gas and moisture barrier; transparent stiff material is prone to tear, but more tear resistant than either competitive materials; can not be heat sealed; available in 1.0 mil thickness only; optional vent feature
good for high temperature cooking that requires shrink; not designed to compete with low temperature, shrink cooking bags
MQ841 (blue)
withstands temperatures up to 210 degrees F; easy to heat seal; no shrink; good moisture barrier; poor gas barrier; strong and durable material; will not hold vacuum packaging; very inexpensive
good for cook tanks (boiling water) and steam ovens; low temperature, non-shrink cooking bag; not for use with high temperatures
MQ851 (clear)
